Stripe test mode

Use test mode to validate the complete payment flow without moving money.

Recommended test sequence #

  1. Select Stripe test mode.
  2. Save Settings.
  3. Connect a Stripe test account.
  4. Confirm the status shows test mode and Stripe connected.
  5. Create or activate a test campaign.
  6. Complete a test donation without covering fees.
  7. Complete a test donation with fee coverage.
  8. Complete a test ticket purchase with multiple attendees and add-on choices.
  9. Confirm Stripe test-mode objects.
  10. Confirm transactions, reports, emails, donor portal, tickets, QR codes, and refunds.
  11. Test check-in online.
  12. Test check-in after temporarily disabling connectivity.

Switching to live payments #

  1. Return to Settings.
  2. Select Live payments.
  3. Save Settings.
  4. Connect the live Stripe account.
  5. Confirm that live mode and the live account are shown.
  6. Perform a small real transaction if organizational policy allows.

Test and live transactions remain separate Stripe objects.
