API Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the GiveBlocks API (“Service”) provided via giveblocks.net (“We,” “Us,” or “Our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of a business or non-profit entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Description of Service
The GiveBlocks API acts as a secure routing and transaction management service connecting the GiveBlocks WordPress plugin to Stripe. It facilitates the processing of digital payments, donations, and event ticketing transactions.
3. Fees and Payment Processing
- Platform Fee: We charge a 1% platform fee on all transactions successfully processed through the Service.
- Stripe Connect: All financial processing is handled via Stripe Connect. By using our Service, you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Our 1% fee is automatically calculated and deducted at the time of the transaction via Stripe’s split-payment routing mechanism.
- Standard Stripe Fees: You are solely responsible for any standard credit card and payment processing fees charged directly by Stripe in addition to our platform fee.
4. User Obligations & Compliance
- You must maintain an active Stripe Connected account in good standing.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that the campaigns, donations, and event tickets processed through your WordPress site comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws.
- You agree not to use the API for any illegal activities, fraud, unauthorized fundraising, or money laundering.
5. Service Availability and Rate Limiting
We strive to maintain maximum uptime for the API. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the GiveBlocks API. We reserve the right to temporarily throttle, limit, or suspend API access if your usage degrades system performance, exhibits abnormal traffic patterns, or violates these terms.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, giveblocks.net shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from API downtime, failed donor transactions, lost profits, or data transmission errors.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
